Tüter Socks

Tüter Socks workers in Avcılar district of Istanbul went on a wildcat strike on 15 February 2022 due to insufficient wage increases. Subsequently, as a result of the action in front of the workplace and the negotiations, the dismissed worker's reinstatement was accepted. The workers' demand for a daily wage of 650-TL was also accepted on condition that it would be valid after two months.
The Tüter Socks strike is part of a wave of strikes in sock factories in Beylikdüzü, Arnavutköy, Bayrampaşa, Güngören, İkitelli, Avcılar and Esenyurt districts of Istanbul. In these strikes, the Deriteks trade union has contributed at the level of guidance and solidarity.
