Özkaralar BCF

In the Özkaralar BCF factory in Antep Başpınar OIZ, the workers of the bending department, who did not accept the boss's offer of 5400 TL net wage and 400 TL continuity premium, started a wildcat strike on 18 February 2022, demanding an additional 300 TL increase as was done to other departments. When the boss agreed to raise the monthly net wage to 5600 TL with an additional increase of 200 TL, the workers accepted the offer and ended the strike on 19 February 2022. The Özkaralar BCF strike was part of the wave of strikes that took place in Antep in 2022, mainly in the ‘Weaving, garment and leather’ sector.
