İpek Mekik Carpet

In the İpek Mekik Carpet factory in Antep, workers started a wildcat strike on 23 February 2022, demanding that the wages be 6600 TL per month and the wages per scarf be 10.70 TL, and that the net wages be 6800 TL and the wages per scarf be 11 TL. After the negotiations held on the same day, the strike was ended after the workers' demands were accepted. The İpek Mekik Carpet strike was part of the wave of strikes that took place in Antep in 2022, mainly in the ‘Weaving, garment and leather’ sector.
