Gür Yarn workers in Antep Başpınar OIZ started a wildcat strike on 19 February 2022 against the abolition of the holiday bonus. During the shift change, workers working in two shifts met in the factory and production completely stopped. The workers waiting in front of the factory stated that they had been receiving the holiday bonus since 2012, but this year the boss cancelled the bonus on the pretext that production fell. The strike ended on its 10th day without any goals achieved. The Gür Yarn strike was part of the strike wave that took place in Antep in 2022, mainly in the "Weaving, garment and leather" labour sector.
