Eynez Lignite Coal Mine

Workers started a wildcat strike on July 13, 2022 against the planned privatization of a section of the Eynez open pit area in the Soma district of Manisa, where lignite coal is produced within the Soma Ege Lignites Enterprise of TKİ. The strike ended on August 18, 2022 after the privatization plan was cancelled.
