Bade Yarn

On 11 February 2022, Bade Yarn workers in Başpınar 2nd OIZ in Antep started a wildcat strike demanding 5500 TL net wage and 300 TL attendance bonus against the boss's monthly wage offer of 5170 TL. Production stopped in the factory where all three shifts walked off the job. The strike was concluded with the acceptance of the workers' demands at the end of the 2nd day. The Bade Yarn strike was part of the wave of strikes that took place in Antep in 2022, mainly in the ‘Weaving, garment and leather’ sector.
