Artemis Carpet

The workers of Artemis Carpet in Antep, who did not accept the 50% wage increase announced, started a wildcat strike on 10 February 2022. Workers working in day and night shifts gathered in front of the factory in the morning. After a strike that lasted for a few hours, the workers went back to work and ended the strike after an additional increase of 175 TL. The Artemis Carpet strike was part of a wave of strikes that took place in Antep in 2022, mainly in the ‘Weaving, garment and leather’ sector.
