Ahmet Aslansoy Textile

Workers at Ahmet Aslansoy Textile in Antep, who demanded a monthly wage of at least 5200 TL, started a wildcat strike on 9 February 2022 after the boss offered 4300 TL. Although some of the workers were fired, the strike of the workers who were not fired continued for seven days. However, on 16 February, the strike ended without any gains when nearly all of the 160 workers working in the factory were fired without compensation. The Ahmet Aslansoy Textile strike was part of a wave of strikes in Antep in 2022, mainly in the "Weaving, garment and leather" sector.
