Yalova Municipality

About 100 public employees of Yalova Municipality, who are members of Independent Local Rights Union, staged a wildcat strike on 8 October 2024 by stopping work for half a day on the grounds that they have not received their social rights for 3 months. In the press statement, Vedat Kaya, Vice President of the Independent Local Rights Union, stated that they have not been able to get any results in the negotiations with the municipality. There is no information in the press and social media channels about whether there were any gains at the end of the strike.
