Şireci Acrylic

Workers working in the 3-11 shift at Şireci Acrylic in Antep started a wildcat strike on 5 February 2022, demanding a monthly wage of 5,700 TL and a 300 TL attendance bonus, rejecting the factory management's offer of 5,000 TL monthly wage and 300 TL attendance bonus. The strike, which lasted for about three hours, ended with an agreement to pay a monthly net wage of 5,300 TL. The Şireci Acrylic strike was part of a wave of strikes in Antep in 2022, mainly in the ‘Weaving, garment and leather’ sector.
