Güven Yarn

In Güven Yarn factory in Antep, workers started a wildcat strike on 17 February 2022 during the night shift against the wages announced as 5200 TL for the twisting department and 5325 TL for the fixing operator and polyp departments. After 11 hours of strike, the workers returned to work without any change in wages. Afterwards, 5 workers were fired without compensation. The Güven Yarn strike was part of the wave of strikes that took place in Antep in 2022, mainly in the ‘Weaving, garment and leather’ sector.
