Gürteks Yarn

Workers at the Gürteks Yarn factory in Antep started a wildcat strike on 7 February 2022, demanding a monthly wage of at least 5500 TL and a bonus of 10 days' wages on both holidays, rejecting the boss's offer of 5200 TL monthly wage and 200 TL attendance bonus. The strike was concluded on 8 February after the workers accepted a monthly wage of 5400 TL and an attendance bonus of 100 TL. The Gürteks Yarn strike was part of a wave of strikes in Antep in 2022, mainly in the "Weaving, garment and leather" sector.
