Education Laborers (September 2022)

With the call of the Anadolu Education Union, education laborers working in public schools staged a wildcat strike on September 5, 2022, demanding the withdrawal of the Law on Teaching Profession, which they stated would cause discrimination among teachers with the regulations on specialist teachers and head teachers.

As far as we were able to determine through press and social media channels, the strike took place in at least 10 cities, including Adıyaman, Ankara, Burdur, Bursa, Denizli, Elazığ, Eskişehir, Mersin, Tekirdağ and Zonguldak.
