Diyarbakır Bakery Workers

Bakers working in various bakeries in Diyarbakır staged wildcat strikes on January 14 and 16, 2023, demanding higher wages, weekly holidays, and insurance rights. While some bakeries increased workers' daily wages before the January 16 strike, following the second strike, negotiations with the Diyarbakır Bakers' Chamber resulted in wage increases of up to 80% for all workers.
