Divriği Ciftay Mining

On 17 January 2022, 600 mine workers at Çiftay Mining in Divriği district of Sivas started a wildcat strike by stopping production against the low wage increase and for their social rights. The workers, who did not accept the boss's raise from 3200-TL to 4800-TL monthly wage, stopped production when their demands were not met. According to the agreement made through the Mayor of Divriği Municipality after the wildcat strike, the lowest wage increased to net 5250 TL and the average wage to net 6200 TL by adding a diluted increase to the 51% wage increase proposed by the bosses. With the agreement concluded, the strike ended on 20 January.
