Dilek Socks

The workers of Dilek Socks in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul started a wildcat strike on 8 February 2022, demanding a wage increase. After the negotiations, the strike was ended after the boss accepted the workers' demand and raised the wages to 6500 TL.
The Dilek Socks strike was part of a wave of strikes in sock factories in Beylikdüzü, Arnavutköy, Bayrampaşa, Güngören, İkitelli, Avcılar and Esenyurt districts of Istanbul. In these strikes, the Deriteks trade union has contributed at the level of guidance and solidarity.
