Alperler Socks

Alperler Socks workers in Beylikdüzü, Istanbul started a wildcat strike on 7 February 2022 demanding a wage increase. After the negotiations, the strike was ended with the boss accepting the workers' demand and raising the wages to 6,850 TL. The Alperler Socks strike was part of a wave of strikes in sock factories in Beylikdüzü, Arnavutköy, Bayrampaşa, Güngören, İkitelli, Avcılar and Esenyurt districts of Istanbul. In these strikes, the Deriteks trade union has contributed at the level of guidance and solidarity.
