Workers at the Seyitömer Thermal Power Plant in Kütahya went on a wildcat strike on July 3, 2024, as the Collective Bargaining Agreement negotiations between Tes-İş union and the company management had not yielded any results for 6 months. The de facto strike, which continued for 3 days despite intense pressure from the boss, the governor of Kütahya and the union, was ended on July 6 without any gains after TES-İş and the boss announced that a verbal agreement had been reached.
