Public Health Institutions (June 15, 2022)

With the call of Turkish Medical Association (TTB), Federation of Family Physicians Associations (AHEF), Family Medicine Employees Union (AHESEN), Primary Health Care Workers Union and Solidarity Union (BDS), General Health Workers Union, Hekim Birliği Union, Hekim Sen, Public Dentists Association (KADHED), Health and Social Service Workers Union (SES) and Tabip Sen and Turkish Dental Association (TDB), a one-day wildcat strike was held on June 15, 2022 in public health institutions in various cities of Turkey against the legal regulation, which was submitted to the General Assembly of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey and which eliminates the rights of physicians and health workers.

According to press and social media reports, the strike took place in public health institutions in at least 16 cities, including Adana, Ankara, Antalya, Antep, Bursa, Diyarbakır, Eskişehir, İstanbul, İzmir, Kayseri, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Konya, Mersin, Sakarya, Samsun, Samsun and Trabzon.
