Özkaplan Carpet workers in Antep started a wildcat strike on February 10, 2025, rejecting the boss's 30 percent wage hike for 2025. The strike ended the same day with an agreement to raise wages by 40 percent. As a result of the agreement, the average wage increase rose to 45 percent, including increases in over-quota production premiums and other fringe benefits.
