Workers at MMK Metalurji’s factories in Dilovası, Kocaeli, and İskenderun, Hatay, started a wildcat strike on April 7, 2026, after the company failed to comply with the agreement signed on March 22 between the Öz Çelik İş Union, of which they are members, and company management, resulting in underpayment of wages. The strike ended on the same day after an agreement was reached to pay March wages with a raise on April 13 and to pay the accumulated differences in installments over three months.
