Migros Warehouses (January 2026)

In 12 warehouses belonging to Migros, including two in Adana, Bursa, and Kocaeli, and one each in Antalya, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Istanbul, Izmir, and Mersin, workers employed by subcontracting companies, DGD -Sen union members working for subcontractors at 12 warehouses owned by Migros—two in Adana, Bursa, and Kocaeli, and one each in Antalya, Diyarbakır, Erzurum, Istanbul, Izmir, and Mersin—started a wildcat strike on January 23, 2026, demanding a 50% wage increase, payment of taxes by employers, the withdrawal of subcontractors, and the hiring of all workers as permanent staff.
The employment contracts of 303 workers who participated in the strike were terminated on February 2. The strikes ended on February 14 after an agreement was reached on issues such as hiring warehouse workers, a 28% wage increase for 2026, allowing workers to benefit from the collective bargaining agreement currently under negotiation, rehiring workers who were dismissed if they wish, and paying compensation to those who wish to receive it.
