MESS Member Workplaces (January 2026)

Following the decision taken after the failure to reach an agreement in the group collective bargaining negotiations between the United Metal Workers' Union and the Turkish Metal Industries Employers' Association (MESS), workers employed at workplaces covered by the agreement held a one-hour wildcat strike on January 8, 2025 and January 15, 2025.

The strikes took place at 31 workplaces, including Aperam, Cengiz Makina, Dostel, Fontana, Sarkusyan, Weidmann, Zf Sach, Arfesan, Arpek, Çayırova Boru, Kroman, Makina Takım, Yücel Boru, Anadolu Isuzu, and Stow in Kocaeli; Remas, Sanel, Ejot Tezmak, and Paksan Makine in Istanbul, Lindsay and Sio Automotive in Tekirdağ, Şenkaya and ZF Lemförder in Izmir, Prsymian and SCM in Bursa, Demisaş and Renta in Eskişehir, Başöz in Ankara, Çimsataş in Mersin, Yücel Boru in Osmaniye, and Çelsantaş in Karabük.
