Karşıyaka Municipality (September 2025)

Workers employed by the Parks and Gardens Department of Karşıyaka Municipality in İzmir went on a wildcat strike on September 10, 2025, citing months of unpaid wages. The strike ended on September 11 after they were promised that payments would be made on September 20. When the payments were not made on the promised date, the workers went on wildcat strike again on the evening of September 22. Following negotiations between the DİSK Genel-İş union and the municipal administration, the strike ended on September 25 without any gains.
