Workers in 5 factories of Karafiber Tekstil in Antep started a wildcat strike on February 7, 2025, demanding a 65 percent wage increase, rejecting the boss's 30 percent wage hike. After the strikes spread to many factories in Antep and workers decided to organize a joint action, the governor's office issued a ban on February 13.
