Public Workers (June 2025)

In response to the government's low 16 percent raise offer in the public framework protocol (PFP) negotiations, half-day wildcat strikes were organized in many cities across Turkey on June 26, 2025 by workers from various trade unions affiliated to Türk-İş.

According to press and social media reports, the strikes took place in at least 13 cities, including Antep, Denizli, Elazığ, İstanbul, İzmir, İzmir, Karabük, Kastamonu, Kayseri, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Samsun, Sivas and Yalova, and in at least 5 sectors, including Health and Social Services, Transportation, Trade, Office, Education and Fine Arts, Construction and Energy.
