While collective bargaining negotiations between BORBEL, a subsidiary of Bornova Municipality in Izmir, and the authorized trade union Genel-İş at the workplace were ongoing, workers staged a half-day wildcat strike on October 6, 2022, due to the failure to reach an agreement.
