Workers at As Plastik, located in the Esenyurt district of Istanbul, started a wildcat strike on January 30, 2023, demanding the recognition of union rights and an end to pressure, despite their union, Petrol-İş, gaining a majority at the workplace, after the employer objected to the authority. The strike ended on February 2, 2023, following the dismissal of 28 workers.
