On February 24, 2025, workers of the subcontractor company İçtaş, which is working on the construction of the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant, went on a wildcat strike demanding an end to the layoffs and the payment of wages that have not been paid since December 22. The strike ended the same day with no gains.
