Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant Construction (Gentes Yapı)

On 28 January 2022, 250 construction workers at the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant construction site in Gülnar district of Mersin, working under the subcontractor company Gentes Yapı ve Endüstri Tesisleri, started a wildcat strike due to the non-payment of their wages for 4 months. While it is understood from the information in the press and social media that the strike continued until 2 February, there is no information on how the strike ended and whether there were any gains.
