Ahenk Carpet

Workers at the Ahenk Carpet factory in Antep started a wildcat strike on March 1, 2023, after rejecting the wage increase announced by their employer. The strike ended on March 6 after an agreement was reached on the following points: a 53 percent wage increase, full payment for days not worked after the earthquake, provision of food aid during the holiday, ending the practice of paying wages in cash, and a promise that no one would be fired.
