Adana Shoe Manufacturing Workers

Shoe manufacturing workers employed in workshops producing shoes in the Medium-Scale Industrial Zone located in Seyhan District, Adana, started a wildcat strike on January 2, 2023, demanding a 120% increase in their piece-rate wages. Following negotiations, the strike ended on January 20 after an agreement was reached to grant a 60% wage increase and an additional raise equal to the minimum wage increase to be implemented during the year.
